Audi's 'piloted driving concept' RS7 took a spooky flying lap at DTM's season finale last weekend
To complete this spooky flying lap, the autonomous RS7 ‘piloted driving concept’ used GPS signals sent via a wi-fi signal to give it the all-important track orientation information, plus a set of 3D cameras. The cameras filmed the track, with an on-board computer comparing the images with footage stored on a hard drive. Clever stuff. The 552bhp, 4.0-litre V8-powered car completed the lap with a time of just over two minutes
