Want More Poke From Your McLaren MP4? Hennessey Has Just The Thing
Is the 616bhp McLaren MP4-12C a bit tame for you? Then fret no more, as Houston tuning madmen Hennessey have the answer. The Texas-based company has just released the HPE700 tuning program for the mighty McLaren, upping the power to - you guessed it - 700bhp.
The extra grunt comes courtesy of an optimised ECU, upgraded intercooler, new dual induction filters and a revised stainless steel exhaust system. With these new bits under the bonnet, the 0-60mph time is dropped to 2.8 seconds, and it'll do a standing quarter-mile in just 10.3 seconds at 137mph.
Hennessey has exercised restraint with the exterior; the only changes here are a smattering of HPE700 badges. The suspension and brakes have also been left alone, but the standard setup shouldn't have much trouble taming the raised power figure.
