To recap, in the near future I will have around £7000 to spend on something fast and fun. I'm utterly useless at making decisions, so I asked you to help me decide which of the seven cars I shortlisted should end up on my driveway.

The choice was between the Nissan 350Z, Porsche Boxster S, Honda S2000, Mazda6 MPS, Ford Sapphire RS Cosworth, Ford Focus ST and the Fiat Grande Punto Multijet Sporting. Each one appeals to me on a different level, but they would all be a lot of fun to own.

The results are in and there's absolutely no doubt about your favourite car. With 37 per cent of the votes, the Honda S2K takes the gold. Team CT's love of Honda's bonkers roadster, it seems, is definitely shared by you.

The 350Z won silver (27 per cent), while the faithful old Cossie claims bronze. The Boxster and the Mazda tied for fourth, and the Focus came in fifth. There was even some love for the little Fiat, which pulled in a few votes.

So, will I spend my cold, hard cash on the Honda? Erm, probably not. Personally, I'm leaning towards the Nissan. It's more of a brute which I like and I've had a hankering for a V6 for a long time now. Plus, I'm not sure I want a soft top.

I do know one thing, though. I'm as unpredictable as I am indecisive, so I'll probably end up getting something else entirely. Several people inevitably suggested the Mitsubishi Evo and Subaru WRX, but they're not really my cup of tea.  But I do like this Golf R32. And this BMW 330. And even this classic Alfa Romeo.

Can you think of any other cars I need to consider?
