The 'Ugly' Juke Nismo RS Actually Looks Pretty Damn Sweet
The fastest version of Nissan's aesthetically challenged crossover is now even quicker thanks to the work of tuning bods Nismo. In this new RS version, the power of the turbocharged 1.6-litre four pot is up from 197bhp in the standard Nismo Juke to 212bhp courtesy of a cheeky exhaust and ECU tweak. That should cut the 0-60mph time down to about 7.5 seconds.
The headline change though is the limited slip differential. As there's a fair bit of power going through the front wheels, that should make a noticeable difference. A four-wheel drive version will be available, but given that it's more expensive, less powerful and only available with a CVT 'box, you may want to avoid that one.
Exterior changes are minimal, other than a few 'RS' badges. That's no bad thing, as the standard Nismo Juke has done a decent job of making this ungainly crossover look almost respectful. The car is expected to go on sale in summer 2014, with prices starting from around £22,000.
