S14 drift: How to make a dream come true

It all begin with a phone call: Voodoo Ride is gonna sponsor me for the French Drift Championship! What a big news for me, because before that I only drifted my bimmer missile e36.

It all begin with a phone call: Voodoo Ride is gonna sponsor me for the French Drift Championship! What a big news for me, because before that I only drifted my bimmer missile e36. So I thought that the car was really not adapted for this competition, and I started to search for a new one. I found this (really too much) yellow Nissan s14 with an SR20DET blacktop, all forged, giving 400hp!

You can see the happiness at this moment!

The french championship is now an FFSA (FIA) competition, so there was a lot of work and modifications on the car to be able to participate: the roll cage was not the good one for exemple.
So, I called my friends from Driftshop and GT2i to order all the parts I needed, and I went straight to the workshop of my friend Fouinox with my awesome mecanic friend, Arnaud Daucher.

But as every petrolhead knows, things never goes how they are supposed to. The roll cage was not the good one, and we missed half parts of it… So we taked two days to work on the engine, and we decided to go back home to test the car. The roll cage will wait a little bit.

The car worked good, and was more powerful than expected. Good point! Time to go back to the garage for the new roll cage and the other modifications. I am very lucky to have friends like Aurelio and his brother Jonas, Arnaud, David, Ben, Mik, and all the friends who helped me, because the instalation of the roll cage was very hard and it needed welding experience and material! We done this in one night!!

Once it was done, time to go for the wrap! My partner Prostik was waiting for us, and everything was ready to make a beauty with this s14. It was a big work too (two days) but the result is awesome! Thank you PROSTIK!

So, it looks like with only two weeks and some awesome friends and partners, the dream of drifting a nice car in a competition is coming true. I got to admit that a part of me still cannot believe it: In 2 days I will be at the French Drift Championship round 1!!

S14 drift: How to make a dream come true

I want to thank all the people who helped me to make it happen, specialy Mike Kauffmann, Aurelio and his brother Jonas, Arnaud, David, Ben, Fouinox, Mik, Tony, etc. and of course my sponsors Voodoo Ride, CEIKA, Kennol, Driftshop, GT2i and Freegun!

And now, it’s time to kill those tires!

Forget that you have no chance , on a misunderstanding it can work!
