Renault Considering Performance Brand Relaunch?
Hmm, this one's an outlier! Britian's CAR magazine reports that Renault is planning to revive it's classic sports car brand. This comes right after news that Renault is cancelling the long planned reintroduction of it's Alpine brand. Interesting to say the least.

Above is a picture of a classic Renault Gordini, with the blue/white Gordini trim unique paint scheme that I actually quite like. Looks like that'll be coming back on the brand's new models for this brand.
The first model planned to get Gordini treatment is the brand's Twingo city car. While not usually considered a sports vehicle, I'd imagine it could be quite fun with a lot of power.
According to an anonymous marketing executive, they will not be just a paint package like they released recently.
While it will have the classic Gordini paint (the striped hood/bonnet style, not the band one on the second image) it will be a real performance brand that means business, going a step up over Renaultsport.
Renault plans for the brand to duty against Fiat's revived Abarth brand and I say it's a good idea bringing up a classic performance brand of their own.
The Twingo is set to be followed by a Clio and Megane Coupe. How about a Gordini Megane Coupe? That could be really cool, especially after seeing the recent Renaultsport Megane Coupe.
