Refreshed Volvo C70 Spotted
What would we do without camera phones? These little things planted almost every phone sold have been responsible for a good many spy shots of future automotibles.

Thanks to an intrepid forum member of Volvo enthusiast forums SwedeSpeedwe get to see what the mid-cycle refresh (MCE) of the Volvo S40/C70 looks like.
The car caught was a red Volvo C70 Convertible, sporting a fresh new look for Volvo that was shown with the S60 Concept introduced at the Detroit Auto Show and followed into production with the XC60 Crossover.
That makes me think of something I've never thought about until now; it's cool how Volvo uses the same designations like 60 and just changes the beginning letters for the type of vehicle (X For Crossover, S for Sedan, C for Convertible or Coupe). It's like calling the Chevrolet Traverse a Malibu crossover for instance. Volvo's naming system actually makes sense.
I love their new styling language! Much more emotional and dramatic then we're used to from the brand, but yet still so uniquely Volvo. I don't know they managed to pull that off, but they did. Anyway, the C70 continues with that, offering an evolutionary refresh that will bring the S40/C70 in line with the latest Volvos. I'm looking forward to seeing the S80 when it's refreshed, that should be really good as well.
Some other sites have gotten pics from the forums and put them into a gallery. You can check them at TopSpeed, who compiled them all into a gallery.
