While stopping a female driver for mobile phone use, this police officer ended up saving a life. Upon approaching the driver, officer Dustin Clinkscales found that she was choking on a biscuit, so quickly and successfully administered the Heimlich manoeuvre. She fainted from lack of oxygen shortly after spitting out the potentially life-ending biscuit, but is said to be doing OK after a trip to hospital.
So, the next time you’re feeling peckish behind the wheel, make sure you stop first before grabbing a bite to eat. After all, ‘death by Hobnob’ really isn’t a cool way to go out.
