The Owner Of This Gulf-Liveried McLaren P1 Is Officially Winning At Life
If you were to draw up a list of the all-time best race car liveries, the iconic blue and orange Gulf Oil scheme that’s been worn by numerous teams would surely be near the top.
The McLaren F1 GTR race machine looked incredible when it had those colours splashed on it in the mid-90s, so it was surely only a matter of time until someone gave a P1 hypercar the Gulf treatment. Businessman Miles Nadal has done exactly that, commissioning MSO (McLaren Special Operations) to create this tasty one-off paint job.
To state the obvious, it looks pretty damn hot. And the transformation isn’t limited to the outside, either. There’s orange stitching on the seats, plus blue and orange controls on the dash - all to match the exterior colours.
All is as-per the regular P1 under the skin, but as that means 903bhp from the combination of a 3.8-litre V8 and an electric motor, Mr Nadal probably won’t be wanting for speed.
