The New TVR's Manual Shifter Looks Pretty Damn Sweet
We still have a month to go until TVR at last reveals its all-new sports car, and until then, it seems like the teasers will continue. The latest one is here, and it, err, doesn’t really show much.
It’s as cheeky as the side exhaust shot the company revealed a couple months back, showing us only a small part of the interior. But, what it does reveal is the coupe’s manual shifter. Isn’t it a glorious little thing? Just imagine using it to row through the gears that are hooked up to the car’s naturally-aspirated, Cosworth-fettled Ford V8. A nice image, I’m sure you’ll agree.
We’re also shown a small section of the slender centre console and its rotary switches, plus some rather lovely looking rocker switches. Let’s hope it looks as good in person.
That aforementioned V8 will power the rear wheels exclusively, and put out 480bhp. Considering the car will only weigh 1200kg, it’s going to be one hell of a potent thing. Unlike TVRs of old however, it won’t be entirely devoid of driver aids.
The car - which effectively relaunches the TVR brand after a fair few years in the wilderness - will be revealed in full at the Goodwood Revival, which runs from 8 - 10 September.

Yeah…till it breaks!
Yea… The new one’s definitely nicer…
Oh yeah
Typical car companies: “Lets turbocharge engines while reducing cylinder count, downsize displacement, add double clutch gearboxes with at least 10 gears and several safety features including semi autonomous systems for our performance cars”.
TVR: “Lets make a car for humans they can drive it themselves”.
TVR, you’re doing it right! 💪😃👍
TVR making a comeback…..oh hey there Green Peace
“Wow! A TVR band! So presumably they play really loud, really fast and then burst into flames!”
As an excited awaiter (which is a word, never doubt it) of the TVR’s reveal, I don’t think Greenpeace will be all that bothered…
And, all things considered, I really don’t see why all these car enthusiasts seem to think that Greenpeace is an intrinsical enemy to their passion.
Like, if we fully supported Greenpeace’s work, and if all its battles were to fully succeed, we’d be able to live in a word sustainable enough that petrol-powered cars would be no considerable harm to the environment.
Blame governments instead.
The automotive-related pollution (and especially the one created by those who actually want to keep using petrol cars, i.e. car enthusiasts) are no more than the straw breaking the camel’s back, and I personally see no other organizations focusing on that single straw rather than the worldwide governments with their petrol bans, which is especially annoying when you consider those are the same people who are able, dutiful and expected to be the ones working on the actual main issues (farming, power plants, etc.).
I know, I know, I’m being the super annoying guy that rants over jokes, I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand all these car enthusiasts unreasonably hating on an organization that has pretty much never worked against them hardly has anything against them at all.
Bet these guys are fun at parties ⬆
At least these teasers aren’t quite as cringy as the Demon teasers were…

Meh, I guess it’s not TOO early for nsfw
That sidepipe looks sexy as f.
[DELETED]
Hopefully they resurrect the cascade and reflex paint colours
And ditch those rear pimples of lights (the ones under the number plate, like seriously wtf) and hopefully the hyper-1999 oval logo shape as well…
