The New Roush Body Package Gives The 2015 Ford Mustang A Massive Injection Of Aggression
If the new Ford Mustang’s styling is a little bit soft for you, may we introduce the new Roush styling package, which injects a much-needed dose of aggression.
The Roush body kit replaces the front end’s cuddly curves with a completely new grille and front fascia, providing a more angular face. There are also bonnet vents and an optional bonnet scoop, as well as new rear fender vents, a redesigned rear fascia and a rear spoiler.
It’s not all about looking pretty, though. Roush claims that the front splitter, rear diffuser and a number of the vents out front improve the car’s aerodynamics. The custom 20-inch wheels are a little lighter than the standard car’s. Buyers can also opt for one of two types of adjustible coilover shocks, as well as upgraded brake pads and rotors for the Brembo six-piston callipers.
In order to provide enough grunt to back up its new look, Roush is offering performance kits, depending on which engine you have opted for. Automobile Magazine reports that RS kits will upgrade the V6 engine, RS1 upgrades the turbocharged EcoBoost engine, while the RS2 upgrades the 5.0-litre V8. It’s also expected that a supercharger kit will be available for the V8, dubbed RS3.
No word yet on exactly what performance these kits will provide, but we can be sure they’ll serve enough poke to back up its fierce new snout.
