Mid-Engined Saab 9+ Tribute
The brand is making the right moves in that direction, starting with a recent announcement about price cuts for the 9-3, taking it below the $30,000 mark.
With Spyker being a supercar manufacturer (and one of our favorites), enthusiasts are dreaming up possibilities that the partnership could result from the partnership. One of those dream vehicles is the Saab 9+ Tribute.
Designer Eduard Gray has created that car as a conceptual Saab supercar based off of Spyker's mid-engined platform. However, as you can tell, it is sleek, modern and uniquely Saab. It starts off with similar cues as the much-loved Saab Aero X concept. The quality of the rendering is excellent, and Gray says it is "just a quick expression of my optimism for the future of the brand."
Indeed. Do we see Saab making something like this in the near future? Not likely. That's not to say it isn't a bad idea though to build buzz around the brand, if it could be done cheaply due to the Spyker partnership.
Most likely (as it should be), Saab will work to get its volume products in order before considering something like this. Check out more shots of the car at the website Gray Design.
