Jay-Z And Kanye West's Maybach Has A New Owner

The most controversial modified car created by Jay-Z and Kanye West now has a proud new owner.  The big question is how much did they pay for it?

It was expected to sell at last week's auction in New York for $100,000 (£64,060) but the highest bid was $60,000 (£38,294) which is £182,171 less than the cost of a factory fresh Maybach 57.

The owner could of got cars such as a new BMW Z4 sDrive28i M Sport and change, a new Mercedes C350 CDI Saloon with a couple of options, a 2009 Nissan GT-R, a 2005 Aston Martin DB9, three new Ford Fiesta Zetecs or nearly twenty five 2003 Citroen C2s for the same money. They could have even bought a 2009 Maserati Quattroporte or 2008 Range Rover TDV8 at a similar price.

None of those cars have that special claim to fame, though. You can leave the "Otis" Maybach in your garage for your mates to gaze at those unique looks and boast about the fact that Jay-Z and Kanye's butt cheeks have been on those front seats. Still, it will probably spend the rest of its life in a garage as it is not allowed on the road.

At least the owner didn't pay over £64,000 and got it for less but £38,000 is still too much for this ruined Maybach. Mind you, it's good to know the money went to charity.
