Part of me is worried that this thing will get crashed many times. Especially since muscle cars in America have had a tendency to have a low safety rating.

This is all 1960’s tech. This is just drag racing 101 stuff. It’s called getting the car to ‘launch’. That said… MOPAR wrote the book on production street/drag muscle cars and the new Demon is just the long awaited sequel.
