Chrysler's PT Cruiser (or Pity Cruiser, to some American gearheads) has been called out for being the bad side of retro design, badly built, and naff to drive. It's ripe for a mighty engine swap: something to give a car with a wicked grinning face something to smile about. So how's this?

Packing an 8.3-litre V10 under the bonnet from a Dodge SRT10 Viper, this 500bhp PT has also had its lumpy body sorted with a pick-up conversion, ride height drop and split-rim alloys. There's even a side-exit exhaust!
