Here's What Happened When A Nissan Murano Found Itself In The Ultimate Real Life Crash Test
There are few things more terrifying than a car crash, and the wife and kids of Reddit user UtahJarhead just found that out first-hand.
His wife was driving their 2006 Nissan Murano, with the kids strapped into child seats in the back. At a junction, their crossover was broadsided at around 40mph by a Jeep Commander.
The impact was directly between the wheels on the driver's side - the point at which a vechicle provides the least obvious protection. But the Murano stood up incredibly well. The only injuries to the eldest child (sat behind the driver) were a few scrapes to his hand.
It's impressive that the car withstood such an impact so well, and despite some minor intrusion on the cabin, the occupants came out of it unscathed.
It just goes to show why manufacturers spend so much time and money on keeping passengers safe. Good work, Nissan!
