Here’s The Painful Moment A Benetton F1 Car And Champ Car Collided At Monza

It’s never nice to see old racing cars get smashed up but that’s exactly what happened in this BOSS GP race at Monza, involving a 1997 Benetton F1 car and 2007 Champ Car

BOSSGP is a racing series where a load of old, no longer raced single seater cars are taken back out on track and put head-to-head. Cars that take part range from old Formula 1 machines to GP2, Champ Car, Formula Renault 3.5, Superleage, A1 GP (remember that?) and F3000.

While it is nice to see these cars being hustled around a track and raced, it’s also pretty painful to see them get bashed up and destroyed…

Here’s The Painful Moment A Benetton F1 Car And Champ Car Collided At Monza

This was the case in this crash, with a 1997 Benetton F1 car and a 2007 Champ Car involved in a nasty Monza crash – a Jaguar F1 car and another Benetton were also involved in a crash trying to avoid the chaos.

The picture above, posted on the series’ website, shows what was left of the Benetton involved in the main incident. Ouch! Fortunately everyone was OK after the crash.
