Quite impressive how the McLaren F1 won as a modified road car against all the purpose built race cars. (correct me if I’m wrong)
I feel like the GT40 was a car that could be street or track, so it could be in the same boat, but I think I read somewhere Ford built it purposely to stick a thorn in Ferrari’s side.
