This GT-R-Engined Nissan Navara Is The World’s Most Extreme Pickup

World renowned GT-R tuner Severn Valley Motorsport has created the ultimate pickup in the form of an 800bhp Nissan Navara. Okay, where do we sign?
This GT-R-Engined Nissan Navara Is The World’s Most Extreme Pickup

Over the last few years we’ve seen the R35 GT-R’s iconic 3.8-litre VR38DETT twin-turbo V6 motor get slotted into a number of humble Nissans, including a run-of-the-mill Juke, a Qashqai, and now this, a Navara pickup truck. Created by Severn Valley Motorsport (SVM) - the same Shropshire-based maniacs who gave us the insane 1400bhp R35 known as ‘Mad Medusa’ - this basic utility vehicle has been turned into supercar slaying beast.

Named the ‘Navara-R’, SVM has shoehorned an 800bhp VR38DETT motor into a space once occupied by a 2.3-litre twin-turbo diesel motor with 190bhp. Official performance stats have yet to be released, but if we look at what SVM has produced in the past, we can expect a sub-three second 0-60mph time and a top speed approaching 200mph. Currently, the Navara-R is not for sale - it’s a working concept designed to show the world what SVM is capable of producing. But if you have deep enough pockets, SVM is happy to build you your very own example. And best of all, the sky’s the limit.

The 800bhp Navara-R is just the start. SVM has stated that customers can opt for higher states of tune, all the way up to a Koenigsegg Regera rivalling 1500bhp. SVM’s Luke Anthony told Top Gear that “anything is possible” and that the team “are open to the craziest of ideas”. The company is even prepared to undertake a full engineering project, taking the shell of a Navara, and placing it on top of a GT-R’s drive-train.

Unfortunately, a hand-built weapon such as this will set you back around £200,000. But then again, you’d have the world’s most practical supercar destroyer. The perfect daily? We think so.

There are two Nissan models that need more power, the Sentra and Altima.

That truck is soo frikkin cool. I liked the Navaras in stock form cause they can be very good in towing pretty much anything for it’s size. But this thing. Wow. Sooo awesome. Congratulation to people’s at SVM. Cause this thing is an awesome creation. :)

By the looks of it they are really masters of GTR engine I bet they could build one blindfolded so why would they experiment with something they dont know, when they can kick thousands horses from engine that is familiar to them.

I would say LT4 Swap a Colorado but that would be bashed for being too similar to an LS Swap so I say…

Evolution a Triton/Strada/MightyMax or Quad Rotor BT50 or LFA V10 swap a Hilux.

or just to match this one… UGR 5.2 TT V10 swap an Amarok.
