The Grand Tour S2 Ep2 Will Feature A Car Vs Public Transport Race
The car vs public transport races orchestrated by Top Gear under the reign of those three were one of the best things about the show as far as we’re concerned. And if you agree, we have some news that might excite you: the second episode of The Grand Tour series two will feature such a race.
This time around the new Ford GT features, with Jeremy Clarkson racing it against James May from New York City to Niagara Falls. May has to use a plane and other forms of public transport, with a twist: he’s lumbered with Richard Hammond, freshly wounded from his fiery Rimac Concept One crash seen in episode one. So there’s potential for both excitement and hilarity.
Back in the UK the Mercedes-AMG GT R is on test, while Celebrity F-Off will feature cricketer Kevin Pietersen and baseball-ist Brian Wilson.
The episode will be available to stream from Friday 15 December, or a little before depending on where you are in the world.
Comments
This is surely bringing hilarious stuff back
Clarkson: But you’ve got a handicap
Hammond: Morning chaps! How are you? 😁
May:
“Oh c*ck”
It reminds me of some old Top Gear episode which Clarkson drove a GTR while May and Hammond took the Shinkansen to some Buddhist shrine.
Wait, so for the Mercedes-AMG GT-R review, does it mean that the Mark Webber stint which was posted a while before the series will be shown?
Mark Webber is not the Driver according to May, as the new test driver is Female and very quick according to James Daniel May.
Just like old times…. I can’t wait to wake up saturday morning, make breakfast and put on the Grand Tour and just enjoy life for about an hour and 15 minutes. Summer time this year, was the best time.
I always loved the cars vs. public transport challenges, I think they were the best episodes. Great to see it coming back, definetly looking forward to the episode.
Stuff like this is the main reason why I love the old Top Gear.
Poor James
F’ck the episode WHO IS THE NEW DRIVER
FINALLY!
