Ford Isn't Happy With This Coachbuilder And Its Weird Mustang Creation
It’s not easy to spot on first glance, but the car you’re looking at here is indeed a Ford Mustang. It’s been given a questionable makeover - which includes the addition of Mercedes-AMG GT rear lights, bizarrely- by a Polish coachbuilder called KHM Motor.
It’s called the Warszawa M20 GT, named after the FSO Warszawa M20, which also seems to be used as a styling reference. But what’s more interesting than the car itself is Ford’s response to it.
Or more specifically, claims from the KHM which appeared to suggest Ford had given the project some kind of approval. The former firm’s website previously noted that some elements of the car would be delivered directly by Ford itself, even using the famous Blue Oval logo on the page.
The reality, however, is a little different. In a statement to Auto Galeria (translated from Polish), Ford said:
“In connection with the information appearing in the media on the alleged cooperation between KHM Motor Poland and Ford of Europe in the implementation of the Warsaw M20 GT project, we would like to inform you that no contract has been signed regarding any Ford cooperation with the said company. The use of the Ford logotype on the KHM Motor Poland website with information on such cooperation is groundless and unlawful.”
Perhaps unsurprisingly, KHM has now updated its website, removing all of the offending parts and adding the following statement (also translated from Polish):
“We regret the improper placement on our website without your consent - the trademark Ford. Our intention was not to commercially benefit from the value of your mark, nor to use in any way to obtain material benefits from its placement.
“The Ford mark was used for respect of the brand, whose parts were used for the Warszawa M20 GT car prototype. We used parts made for Ford for CONSOLE obtained from Peter Sauer & Sohn KG Dieburg by letter of November 18, 2018.
“At the same time, we would like to inform you that we do not have and did not have a CONTRACT OF COOPERATION with FORD Concern (no representation thereof), and the information about this content has come to light due to the lack of a precise message from our side. I am asking for apologies and explanations.”

At least they’ll probably never sell one based on styling.
For real 🤮
The rear’s not bad.
It may look weird and you can see why some people may find it to be an insult to the Mustang yet FORD are HAPPY ENOUGH to build an EV INSPIRED BY THE MUSTANG?
It’s fcking gaudy and spits on the original M20’s grave
I don’t see a problem. They said ti’s inspired by a Mustang, not based on one
I mean, is anyone happy with this?
Only KHM themselves I guess
Atleast it’s better than an electric SUV…
It’s not
Still better than the ‘Mustang Inspired Crossover’ thing…
It’s not
I’d rather have the Mach 1 than…
That thing
We’d all rather have a mach 1
I’d take a Mach III
It looks like a bootleg Lexus
Not even close
It’s got some fiat 124 in it.
No offense, i get time was put into this but stop. Just dont. The mustang is perfect just the way it is.
Even Google doesn’t think too highly of this thing.
Its funny how this isn’t edited.
And that’s from the people who were thinking of selling to google car thingys, that’s something
Looks like a coupe version of the impala
