Ferrari F450 Spied

Wow, what a find! CzechFerrari.cz has scored a huge scoop with it's latest pictures of the Ferrari F450, a replacement for the current Ferrari F430. While there hasn't been any word about an accompanying moniker for the car, I suspect we'll hear something about that soon.

It's not clear why the car why the car was in the state it was photgraphed in however some have said that it could be a government certification mule. Still I think it's what's even more odd was that it was out in the open like this. The Ferrari F450 has been caught numerous times uncloaked, and I don't think with the usual security around Ferrari vehicles that's an accident. It sounds more like a publicity campaign to me!

Ferrari is working on a lot of new technologies and there has been speculation as to which new ones will debut with the F450. Expect F1 to play a prominent role in the new equipment, with an KERS-like energy recovery system (braking), dual-clutch 7-speed transmission and understeer-cancelling driving software potentially making their first appearances.

Whatever Ferrari has in store, it'll be good - the F450 is the company's "bread and butter" model. As the F450 goes, so goes Ferrari. The F450 will also be getting an engine displacement bump from 4.3 to 4.5 liters and the new engine will produce over 500 horsepower. Most of all though, I'm interested in seeing what the styling of the F450 is like. I expect to see a lot of themes that debuted on the California to carry over on the F450.
