Every father-son duo needs a project
We bought the truck when I was 11. The 318 burned out the first time we tried towing our camper. It sat for about a year and a half, and then we overhauled it. I’m almost 18 now, and I have bought it off of him for my first vehicle to take to college.

I’m almost 18 now, and I have bought it off of him for my first vehicle to take to college. He’s currently building a ‘79 Camaro with my little brother, then he’s going to build a ‘65 Chevelle for himself. Nothing brings a family together like a good project.

This is the car me and my dad made last year. He did the mechanics, I did the aesthetics. Lots of fun building it, now lots of fun racing it on trackdays!!!

My dad had a 1985 ramcharger it was his baby and I loved that thing just as much as he did they’re great vehicles. Good choice mopar or no car!

And I’m sitting here trying to defend as much as a new paintjob against my father, who doesn’t accept anything but the exact condition/equipment the car rolled off the production line in.
Just use the the excuse of how it will improve the life of your vehicle
It’s funny because my dad is a mechanic by education, he has more knowledge about cars than half of this site.Money is what we lack for a project of any sort.:(

My dad doesn’t like the cars I do, he thinks all the cars I like are “Japanese piece of sh¡t” and he doesn’t like manuals………..

Me and my dad are dropping an LSA into a Monaro/GTO and coupling it up to a 6L80 auto (to my knowledge that combo hasn’t been attempted before in that car, correct me if I’m wrong). I’m 15, so it’s a massive learning curve for me. The ramcharger looks great by the way, I love that colour.
