This Dodge Challenger Hellcat Was Destroyed One Hour After It Was Collected

Deliveries of the Dodge Challenger Hellcat only got underway a month ago, but with 707hp on tap it’s perhaps unsurprising that it hasn’t taken long to see a wreckage. And the driver of this particular Hellcat, named by police as 34-year-old Lance Utley, managed to wreck his car after just one hour of ownership.

According to police, Utley was driving with two passengers, when he lost the back end and over-corrected, crashing head-on into a tree. Fortunately no one was injured, and the driver has been charged with careless driving.
