CFC Chromed-Out Hummer H2
How long, O Lord, how long? Just when you think it can't get any more gauche in the customized SUV world, someone decides to go there.
How long, O Lord, how long? Just when you think it can't get any more gauche in the customized SUV world, someone decides to go there. Someone, in this case a custom shop by the name of CFC, decided that what the world really needed was not just another tricked out (and fully useless) Hummer, but a Hummer that has been chromed.
To quote Tom Wolfe, "It's enough to make The Fool Killer hang his head at the missed opportunities."
German tuner CFC gets unintentionally funny right off the bat, stating in their press release: "Take your Hammer and drive it sexy." Um, guys, that's Hummer, with a "u" and not an "a". And if that's any indication of their attention to detail, if you're thinking of buying this Hummer (hey, there could be some Saudi oil barons or Russian "thoroughly legitimate businessmen" that read what I have to say), you might want to give most of the nuts and bolts a once over to make sure they're torqued right.
Of course, CFC didn't actually chrome the body of the H2. No, on the outside, there's a "chrome" vinyl wrap that is "complemented" by tinted windows. And just to show what a bunch of cheap dorks they are, CFC also added a carbon wrap for the hood. Not a carbon fiber hood, they just made it look like that. And since subtlety is their middle name, they also added 'CFC' stickers that can be seen from orbit to the flanks.
Oh, and there's 28-inch TunerShop light-alloy rims mounting gigantic 325/35 R28 pneumatic tires by Kumho. CFC was also thoughtful enough to include the four tail pipes, a bunch of additional lights, chromed (natch) side guards and, of course, the Lambo-Style-Doors.
The subtly continues on the inside. CFC saw fit to install 17 (count 'em, 17) LCD screens an additional HD TV, a DVD-player, a 1.360-Watt RMS music system and a mini bar. The seats have been upholstered in black leather with yellow stitches (classy!) and there's also a new rear sofa (extra classy!) and yellow decorative trim on the dash. There's murmurings that CFC worked the Hummer H2's engine and it now puts out a total of 480HP.
Got to have it? Wondering what it will run you? For good or ill, CFC did not release details on pricing.
