Car Cameo: Pitbull & Shakira Get The Abarth 500 Started

Both of these stars have been involved with popular, mainstream cars before. But for Pitbull and Shakira's latest music video, there's no old-school SEAT Ibiza making a village dance and the name 'Kodak' doesn't even get one mention.

Both of these stars have been involved with popular, mainstream cars before. But for Pitbull and Shakira's latest music video, there's no old-school SEAT Ibiza making a village dance and the name 'Kodak' doesn't even get one mention. Instead we have a cheeky little Italian being unsuccessfully chased by a big fat German.

Here's the villain in question, the new Mercedes M Class... and with a missing badge. I'm guessing Merc had nothing to do with the video, hence the stodgy screenshot. It's a car that fits perfectly in the gangsta's paradise with rivals such as the Range Rover Sport, BMW X5 and Porsche Cayenne. There's plenty of room to transport at least four of your fellow crew and the hound very quickly - as all are available with V8s - plus chucking your victims into the back is a doddle. Of course, its real primary use will be as yet another Chelsea tractor.

This is the little Italian stallion that will save the day; a Fiat 500 Abarth. The turbocharged, 133hp 1.4-litre engine can cover the sprint to 62mph in a tad under eight seconds and up to a top speed of 127mph. Put those figures in the dinky dimensions and you have the ideal tool for nipping through the city traffic. A skill that the large three-pointed-starred off roader does not have to hand. If you were to write off an Abarth 500 during a secret mission, you could always pick up a replacement from £14,467.

'Get It Started' is the first single from Pitbull's upcoming album 'Global Warming' and is available to store on your phones, music players and hard drives in the UK from August 27. Check out the chase below and unless you're a gay man or straight woman, well, you are more than welcome.
