Car Cameo: Cheryl's Under The Sun With Classic Citroens

It's back to the 60s for Chezza's latest music video. Origin of the hippies that Cartman from South Park hates, Austin Powers and Peter Griffin's favourite song 'The Bird Is The Word' by The Trashmen. Classic scenery of course means she'll need a few classic cars to match. It's Citroen's time to shine once again.

There is one small problem with this music video. One minute into it we are presented with Cheryl dancing next to a Citroen Ami Super. The standard Ami was introduced in 1961 but this Ami Super's registration plate indicates it was made between 1974 and 1975. Close enough I suppose.

Anyway, enough complaining like I'm narrating a movie mistakes special, lets get to the other star of the show which is from the 60s. The DS.

Think of it as the great grandfather of the French President's C6. This particular one that Cheryl is sitting on has a luxury upgrade pack called the Pallas which gives it subtle but better touches such as nicer leather upholstery, that chrome bit on the bonnet and better sound insulation. Hydraulics are all over this car. As well as the power steering and the brakes, the clutch, transmission and most importantly the suspension which gives it a 'magic carper ride' plus it's self-leveling like in the Rolls Royce Ghost meaning it can handle as well as be comfortable. Powering this DS is a 2175cc, 5 main bearing engine which was one of the first to have electric fuel injection courtesy of Bosch.
