The Paris Auto Show that just completed had more than a few surprises - the Audi Quattro Concept, Lamborghini Sesto Elemento and Lotus' amazing five-car introduction binge.

Another one of them was the BMW 6-Series Coupe Concept. We thought it offered a nearly -production preview of the 6-Series to come. It looks like that is the case, as a convertible variant of the car has been spotted.

Looks pretty production to us. E90Post got the scoop and Autobild tweaked with the photo, lightening it and removing the photographer.

With a camera man there, it is clear this is a photo shoot for the new production model. Interestingly, E90Postsays all the press photography for the car has been taken - instead this for a Spring Accessories catalog for the car.

The non-production alloy wheels indicate that as well. While we were just recently discussing the transition from the 6-Series Concept to production,  this shows BMW is far ahead of the game.

The car is slated to go into production in March 2011. When it will be introduced officially at an auto show is anyone's guess. Head over to Autobildto check out the photoshopped version of the image.
