The funny thing is most of the “import companies” are American built. Kia is assembled in Georgia, Nissan in Tennessee for 90% of their line up. Toyota trucks are built in the U.S and i think some Hondas are as well

Those plants in the US mostly serve the American market. What you’ll find is for the European Market, they have factories in Europe.

Many European manufacturers aswell. Half of all BMWs are built in Spartanburg, SC, for example.

The logic is a bit off though. They’re still American cars, just not American built cars.

If we follow this logic it would mean that Honda’s are actually British, and American and so on. Volkswagen would be Slovakian. So whoopdiedoo.
