Lewis Hamilton took victory in Canada, scoring his fourth win of the 2015 season and once again extending his championship lead. Nico Rosberg kept him in sight to finish second, with Valtteri Bottas bringing home the Williams team’s first podium of the year.

Kimi Raikkonen was fourth, ahead of Sebastian Vettel and Felipe Massa, who both put in brilliant recovery drives.

During the Grand Prix weekend, groundhogs in Canada like to spectate. One such groundhog also wanted some air time, which is why it invaded the track and almost got itself munched by a herd of wild F1 cars.

This F1 fanatic gets the prize for most effort put into wearing a hat. Apparently, he updates the car every year.

After the Duel in Detroit, IndyCar quickly travelled to the Texas Motor Speedway for the next round of the season. Scott Dixon dominated to claim his second win of the season, with Tony Kanaan 7.8 seconds further back – you don’t see gaps that big in IndyCar too often!

The exciting British Touring Car Championship was racing at Oulton Park last weekend. Jason Plato won the first two races with Sam Tordoff taking the top spot in the third and last race.

Nelson Piquet Jr took victory at the Moscow ePrix, with Lucas di Grassi coming in second.

It all kicked off behind on the final lap, with Sebastien Buemi making contact with Jean-Eric Vergne and moving up to third after cutting the chicane. Nick Heidfeld then barged through as well. Buemi was eventually handed a 29-second penalty, which dropped him to ninth, but this was for an unsafe pit release.

Denny Hamlin was on the attack during the Nascar Sprint Cup race at Pocono, with this epic ninja-like switchback move being just one of several brilliant overtakes. Martin Truex Jr took his first win in two years.

The ADAC Formel 4 series was at the Red Bull Ring last weekend. The races were chaotic, and included this run-away racer rolling down a hill and into another driver’s car. Awkward.

Michael Schumacher’s son Mick fractured his hand in this ADAC Formel 4 crash, after contact with another car on the pit straight in race two. Get well soon! However, that smash was nothing compared to this scary barrel-roll at the start of race three.

During the SpeedFest 2015 event at Brands Hatch, one of the Nascar Whelen Euro Series cars was tipped into a spin at the exit of Turn 1. Fortunately the driver was okay.
