How many BHP does it take for you to consider a car "powerful"?

Depends on the weight of the car and the type of engine

If you’d of asked me 2 years ago I’d of said 180bhp but nowadays I’d say 300bhp upwards

100hp per door

Below 100 - well ok
100-150 - solid
150-200 - nice
200 - 250 very nice
250+ epic
Powerful? 200+ I’d say

160+ depends on weight really though.

In a Mazda Miata, 200+ horsepower is enough

Having more than 250bhp is what I would consider fast having been in a Mk 3 focus ST which is an absolute rocket ship on ordinary roads :)

it is powerful when you can reach it’s limits with quite a lot of effort

to be considered powerful around 250 bhp is required
