When you hear a clunk and see a part fall off
I was driving 60mph on a highway and suddenly i hear a clunk and a crash sound and i see a black thing fling out under my rear tyre.. Something fell off.. I parked my car immediately and looked under the hood.. Everything seems to be running fine and no problems. What the hell flung out of my car? I just can’t see what fell off..
Should i be worried?

Yeah i forgot to mention i have to drive 200km’s tomorrow and haul stuff..
If it flew under your tire why did you look under the hood. Look at suspension parts or engine/dif/tranny mounts.
Because the clunk came under the hood.. It flung out of the rear tyre because it fell on the ground and ricocheid under my car until it exited out the back.
Priority #1 is to check if your tyre isn’t damaged. Also check your suspension. It was problably part of your undertray or something that was on the road.
Tyres are ay okay. The suspension seems like the rusty old thing it was before.. Only thing is that my sway bar has no bushings left and it’s clunking like mad.. But doesn’t seem like anything fell off it..
Could it be a forgotten tool that fell? I literally see no mechanical damage anywhere..
I’m going to jack up the car tomorrow and remove the tyres to inspect the brakes and front suspension..
The rear suspension couldn’t have any damage to it because the car would stop immediately. (RWD)
The car runs fine and smooth and the liquids are topped off and there are no leaks under the car..
Checked under the car and triple checked the enginebay. There are literally zero signs of damage. I can’t see anything wrong.. I guess it was just a rock on the road or something.. Car guys be paranoid haha.
