I’m really curious about the specs of this engine! Nissan had a 4.5L V8 with an Alloy block that was used in a limousine and longer executive style cars. It had forged rods and some other impressive engine internals. I currently drive a Mitsubishi Legnum Vr4 with a 6A13TT engine. But I am considering getting a half cut of one of these and looking at trying to fit it in a Legnum. Would be a really interesting car lots of torque etc. just can’t find any specs on the stock engine internals as I’d prefer not to have to strip the engine and get fully custom built internals. Would love to know more about them if anyone has any ideas?
Hey Lindsay. Im an American so I’ve never come into contact with one of these at all. Unfortunately I don’t know much about it or a legnum for that matter. I can pretty much guarantee though that the transaxle wont bolt up directly. However given that the V8 is a horizontal one facing the driver’s side fender it’s already pointing the right way for the swap. I have no clue how easy it would be so good luck if you do persue it. The power figures are around 290hp and 300 lb ft of torque at the crank. As for what the internals are made of no one knows. Hope this helps!
