5 Reasons Why I Hate The GTR R35

Number 1:

Its too over-rated, I mean literally go up to a sub human and ask what’s your favorite car, I can ensure you that it’s either a Buggati Veyron or Nissan GTR R35 (Or they’ll say the newest Nissan Skyline).

Number 2:

It can’t be used as a daily driver effectively, why you ask? Well because this car is mainly designed for the track and by doing so it won’t be very good on the streets, however prices have considerably gone down over the few years meaning its price tag has gone down a lot, maybe VW got their hands on it, with all their emission scandal. As it is designed as a track car you cannot embrace the full power and mpg would suck in urban built up areas.

Number 3:

Dollar. It may of gone down significantly in money but its still expensive averaging around 45k for a cared one. I mean think about all the project cars and cars you could buy with that money, if you had a project car you probably will still have money left over. For 45k you can buy the new BMW M4 (ugh that horribly snot green though).

Number 4:

It can be used for all the wrong reasons, such as:
Street Racing
Doing huge burnouts
Seeing how well the launch control is in a built up area( Guess that can’t be too bad)
Street racing is just pure illegal but it can put civilians in danger if they do it at night even worse through the day.
Doing huge burnouts is just for laughs but can easily go out of control
Last but not least the launch control is from a whole new planet.

Number 5:

I just prefer classics such as the R32.

I don’t know where you live but the cheapest pre-owned is 65K in my area. It is designed for a track, but it absolutely dominates any road you put it on-that’s part of what makes it so great. But it is highly over rated.

Last point: if they’re going to hoon in a GT-R, odds are they’ll do it in any car. The vehicle isn’t dangerous, the person controlling it is.

I don’t have an issue with the R35, nor with the Veyron you mentioned. Not my type of cars, but I don’t hate them.

Number 1 — its not over rated… it achieves what it aimed for… it just has a huge fan following mostly of people who dont know anythign about the car.. I would call a car over rated if it was actually a gimmicky car which it isnt.. the car is not at the fault here for you to hate.. ur hatred is more because it has a huge fan following of people who sometimes go overboard..

Number 2 — kind of agree here… maybe its not a perfect daily car.. but I am not sure if you have driven it and then commenting or just commenting from what u see and read… because trust me.. it might not be that bad as much as you are making it out to be.. there are many cars that are track focused but they are good daiy cars too..

Number 3 — no comments..

Number 4 — this is really not a valid point at all.. i mean everything you talk about here.. can be done on any car that a person has on hands…its got to be the persons attitude than cars character.. are you telling me if a person has an M4 he is going to back off and the same person in GTR was going to race … uhh I dont think so.. if he wants to race he will find a reason to do it even in Fiat Panda… this is like saying Porsche is at fault for creating the car in which Paul walker died..

Number 5 — good for you but at this point I would rather have you write why you prefer the R32 over the R35… what about it makes it special and gets an adavantage over R35..

overall a good post.. but it seems that you are pissed that its a very popular car (dont get me wrong the fanboys do get on my nerves too) than actual reasons.. Alex Kersten once wrote an article about the things he didnt like in GTR.. it was a good read..

Keep it up.. I would rather have articles like these on CT than… just putting a random picture of GTR and say who here likes it and become the hottest topic …

I like the skyline line since always, and now I like the GTR just because I like it :)
I don’t care if it’s the only car that non car people know/loves, I like it and that’s it, I’d love to own one (hope to actually) but then again is not my favorite.
Don’t hate on cars, it’s not their fault, the GTR can do very impressive things, and also some other not-so awesome, like every car in da world.
You can hate people for overrating things I guess haha but the car is cool imo

Number 1: Being over-rated doesnt mean a car isn´t good. For what it concerns me, it´s over-rated because of his reputation, wich is good for some reasons and bad for others.
Number 2: I would daily drive the s**t out of it! Why? “because this car is mainly designed for the track “, and i like it that way! You have a ton of cars (literally,) designed for the track that are sold the same way a gtr is.
Number 3: It´s a matter of choice, taste and personal opinion. You can´t tell people what to buy just because you dont like the car.
Number 4: Name me a car that you would drive that cant be used for street racing. Exactly, none. Because every car can be a race car. Every car can make a burnout, and you don´t need a nice car to drive like a lunatic and put others in danger.
Number 5: I also like the R32, so i guess we have that in common.
I truly respect your opinion, but some of the reasons (if not every single one of them) you named don´t even make sense . I guess there´s always going to be lovers and haters for every kind of car, but the amount of hate gtr´s, honda´s, and other tipe of cars get is just stupid. This is only my opinion.
Enjoy your day as well!

Point number one. If you don’t like something because other people like it, that’s stupid. Number two. It’s a supercar? And if you can afford one you can afford something to daily drive. And compared to some cars the’re rather bearable. Number three. Your complaining about the price of a Ferrari slaying supercar that does 0-60 in sub 3 seconds?Number four. Find any car and you can do those things too. Maybe not as insanely but still rather crazy. It’s like owning a gun, it’s dangerous in the wrong hands but amazing in the right hands. Point five. You hate a car because you prefer an older version? These points are stupid but a good read, and at least you were original about this, so I would like to see more. I just wanted you to realise you were kind of the post out longer with silly things, I hope I didn’t come across as hostile. Also, I know there is another post like this that I didn’t see until after most of the writing, so I hope it didn’t look like I copied
