Here's The New 700bhp+ Shelby Mustang GT500 Making All The Right Noises

The GT350's big brother - rumoured to churn out more than 700bhp - has been caught on video undergoing testing in Dearborn

While that rumbly soundtrack is quite clearly one belonging to a V8, we can’t tell whether or not the engine is running any kind of forced induction. It does seem on the cards though, as Ford will struggle to match the likes of the 650bhp Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 and 697bhp Dodge Challenger Hellcat simply using a highly-modified version of the GT350’s 5.2-litre flat-plane V8.

In fact, it’s even rumoured that the next GT500 could produce as much as 800bhp. Still want a Hellcat?

You all are either listening to the exhaust or seeing the red boot, meanwhile I’m checking out the indicators and thinking something like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4aAKF3L-TFM

I don’t think that’s a GT500.It’s probably something along the lines of a Mach 1/Boss 302.All i know is that it’s a new V8 S550 and i’m excited

Ford makes public think it’s the GT500, ends up just being a different version of the GT350.
