A Year Away, Audi Sketches Next-Gen A3

The original "B4" second hand Audi A4 generation has still has a lot of fans. Following its introduction at the Geneva Motor show, many mentioned that the A3 Concept's look and size were similar to that car.

When the A3 sedan hits the market here, you'll be able to pick one up for about the price of a previous generation used BMW 5-Series.

The A3 Concept showed Audi's plans for the future of the car. The hatchback variant is the most important in key markets like Europe though - the current model is hatchback-only. As such, it will go into production before a sedan model.

To give us a preview of the production A3, which will debut at next year's Geneva Show, Audi is debuting three sketches. Audi has been really into sketches lately, releasing ones for the A3, R8 GT as well as the Q3 crossover. It is just a sketch, but we can tell the next-generation is going for sporty, coupe-like look.

The interior also looks to be a top-notch improvement as well. For now though, the RS3 (which isn't headed for the United States unfortunately) is the A3 we really have on our minds.
