Volvo’s always been good at estates, so it’s no surprise that the V90 - here early thanks to a leak - looks rather dapper. It’s just the images for now, although the details should be fairly easy to predict - it sits on Volvo’s Scalable Project Architecture, so will be running the same range of 2.0-litre, four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines as the related S90 saloon.

Expect a diesel D5, petrol T6 and a range-topping hybrid T8 with 400bhp. A Polestar version using a modified version of the T8 powertrain is anticipated.

Until the official reveal, make sure you check out the rest of the leaked images below.

I just wish they’d throw the turbo syraight six or the Yamaha V8 in there. Or at least a five-cylinder. These puny hybrid 4-pots really don’t suit the car.

Congrats to Volvo, one of the few maker that can turn a Station Wagon into a pretty car!

It KINDA looks like a BMW at the rear end. But it’s still very nice.

Still not quite there with the rear-end design. But at least they’ve gotten the front end right on their latest models. If they only can get that ass balanced again, then maybe Volvo finally will make another sweet looking car. But no, I cannot approve of such an unbalanced rear-end.

I’ll give this Volvo 3/5 in rating based on the design, as the front and interior looks awesome, but the rear-end draws my rating back a bit.
