BMW has a racing program with its vehicles that enables you to get track vehicles from the factory. But here's the kicker - they ship you everything you need to do it, but its up to the owner to get it put together.

This happened with West Coast Racing, a Swedish racing team. They purchased the $400,000 BMW (ouch) and setup this video camera to document the building process. It took 600 hours - 25 days of building, and it is all documented on this time-lapse video.
