VIDEO: Ferrari 599XX Runs the Nurburgring in Under 7 Minutes

In the automotive world, the Nurburgring is just the total center of attention, isn't it? Every in the vehicle in the book seems like it tested for handling there, and it is home to a 24 hours endurance race taking place next month.

Porsche recently had the 911 GT3 R Hybrid lapping the track, and now Ferrari has done the same thing with its track-only 599XX model.

This one is a record for a production-derived vehicle at 6 minutes, 58.16 seconds. However, while the 599XX is based on a production vehicle, it is a track-only model not capable of street use. There's no doubt that is an insanely fast time though, any way you look at it. Check out the 599XX being hurled around the track below.
