Supercar Clash: Croatia versus Lebanon
Pathological racists of the world rejoice, for if you just cannot bring yourselves to buy a supercar from Italy, Germany, America or Japan, you may just be in luck. For Croatia and Lebanon are about to enter the supercar ring with two sexy new bits of metal.

Croatian company Rimac has been busy creating the utterly gorgeous Concept_One. Apart from its beautiful curves the Concept_One packs way over 1,000bhp and should sprint to 62mph in a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it 2.8 seconds. But don’t think there’s some fire spitting 18-litre V12 under the bonnet; this curvy Croat is stuffed with four electric motors and a huge battery pack.
Despite its looks though (courtesy of some ex-Pininfarina pencil-jockeys), the Concept_One is a bit of a chubster, weighing in at 1,950kg. Equally hefty is the price, which is set to be a cool million bucks (or £638,000 of our lovely British pounds).
If you’re currently drooling over your keyboard as we are, get yourself to London’s Salon Privé on September 5th to 7th to see the Concept_One in the flesh. And should you manage to find a spare £638k down the back of the sofa get on the phone to Rimac pronto as just 88 are being made.
However, if you like your supercars a bit more... Lebanese, feast your eyes on this the Hyper-Sport, courtesy of W Motors. This brute from Beirut will match the Concept-One’s 0-62mph time and is stuffed with ultra high-end goodies like a gold-plated bonnet, diamond-encrusted LED lights and a fully functioning holographic display with “interactive motion”. Mmm, interactive motion...
The Hyper-Sport has been named by W Motors’ chairman, Ralph R Debbas as, “the most luxurious sports car in the world” and it will be one of the world’s rarest with just five hitting roads in Dubai in December.
Under the skin the hand-crafted Hyper-Sport will feature a lightweight carbon fibre chassis and has been fettled by the techno-gurus at Porsche tuning firm RUF and Austrian über-engineers Magna Steyr. Consequently Ralph R Debbas even goes as far as to name the Hyper-Sport the “ultimate driving machine”. Hmm, that sounds familiar.
Expect to see a huge legal battle with BMW any day now.
