For Subaru, it's their turn to debut some "green concepts" that demonstrate their ability to create vehicles that still have a unique Subaru character.
When it first came out it was unclear if this the car was a production intent vehicle, a design excercise or a concept that points to the future of Subaru vehicles. Apparently it gives us a good indication of what to expect. Autoblogis reporting comments from Subary saying: "It will be anti-Bangle, editing, not adding – cars have too many character lines now."
That's an interesting statement. Of course certain elements on the concept (like the gullwing doors) won't be making it to production, but it seems as if the look is a preview of what is to come.
This isn't official, but I'd expect to see the new look debut on the next-generation Impreza. The Impreza is due for a replacing soon so that seems like the likeliest scenario. If implemented right, the Hybrid Tourer Concept's look should carry over well to production.
