Steeda 2010 Sport Edition Mustang
The Ford Mustang is a favorite of tuners; Saleen, SMS Supercars (Steve Saleen), Shelby, there is a ton of them.(I know I missed some big ones, those were of the top of my head). The Chevrolet Camaro probably will be too, but I don't want to steal from the Mustang's tuner thunder.
I can see why too; it has every reason to be a vehicle people want, and therefore tuned. It's an excellent value; cheap, safe, reliable - the list goes on.
Steeda Autosports is one company that tunes Mustangs and has done very well for itself doing so. In fact the company has been inundated with requests for a model to be made available for the company. Currently Steeda is working on a special Mustang, called the Q-Series. People just can't wait for that though, so the tuner made available the Sport Edition. Apparently it's a collection of Steeda parts already made available for the Mustang.
The Sport Edition retails for $6,995 and seemingly is an appearance/suspension package primarily. No information is available about performance upgrades, if any. Here is the list direct from the company of what you get in a Steeda Sport Edition Mustang:
- Steeda hood paint treatment -Steeda sidewinder stripes -Steeda underdrive performance pulleys -Steeda performance air cleaner -Steeda Sport Springs -Steeda Billet Lower Control Arms -Steeda Spyder Wheels-Chrome (20x9.9 front and 20x11 rear) -Nitto NT05 High Performance Tires -Steeda Sport Shifter
Looking good, I'm excited to see what they have planned for the Q-Series Mustang. They didn't want to rush it out and that's why they decided to placate customers with this interim model. The Q-Series promises to be something special.
