Spyker C8 Aileron To Make NA Debut

Remember the totally awesome Spyker C8 Aileron I gushed over last month? Well, it's coming to North America in production form at the New York International Auto Show. Spyker comes to America!

Beautiful! I'm probably in the minority opinion, but personally I'd rather have this car then a Ferrari or Lamborghini. It's just so unique! Glad to see creativity is alive and well.

Spyker says it has already begun building the C8 Aileron. I've heard U.S pricing will start at $210,000, with production deliveries to come in the third quarter of this year. I'll try to get a confirmation on the pricing amount; we'll probably get a full press release with all the details from Spyker pretty soon.

Take a look at the sloping roofline and suicide doors. That monstrosity is Spyker's D8 Peking to Paris SUV. No doubt it will be be the ultimate SUV ever. I can see this one making a big splash in oil-rich markets like the Middle East as well as some emerging ones like China where the top class of the market is very rich. This is what Aston Martin's Lagonda SUV would be going up against.

Production was supposed to start sometime this year, and the model is still up on the company's website. I haven't heard anything about it lately though other than that it will be sharing headlight's with the C8 Aileron.

The company has also confirmed that a Spyder version of the C8 Aileron is in "final development" with the drop top to make it's debut at this year's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.
