Saab 9-5 Spy Shots
Even with all the turmoil surrounding the brand's future and it's buyer uncertain, work still continues at Saab on the next-generation models of it's most core products. The next-generation 9-5 can't come soon enough; the current, aging 9-5 has been in need of a replacement for years.

Saab is managing a smart campaign for the 9-5's launch, with a prolonged spy shot release revealing the car bit by bit. It has helped to garner a lot of attention for the new model, something the brand desperately needs right now.
I really like what I'm seeing too! The car looks unique, with a profile that will stand out among the sea of mid-size sedans. It will be a further evolution of Saab's corporate look. No doubt, the new 9-5 is an pivotal vehicle for Saab's future.
The mid-size luxury segment is highly profitable and relatively high volume. To be a serious contender in the luxury market, you need to have a strong entry in the mid-size luxury segment. The 9-5 will give us a good indication of where Saab wants to take the brand with future models.
So the design is much more unique then anyone expected, and that's a good thing. The new 9-5 has a sloping roofline and is longer and higher then the model it is replacing.
Expect the 9-5 to be loaded with technology as well; LED headlights in the front and rear will be standard. Te 9-5 is headed for a debut this September at the Frankfurt Auto Show. A lot of great introductions will be coming at the the show, so I'm really looking forward to it!
The 9-5 is one of the most anticipated cars for me. I like Saab a lot and hope they can find a successful place in the automotive industry with a dedicated new partner. Thanks to WorldCarFans for the photos! Head over to their site for more spyshots of the 9-5.
