Porsche is in the midst of introducing an important new model and redesigning a pivotal one. The new Panamera, like it or loathe it, has become the top-selling Porsche in the United States.
But it isn't likely to keep its title for long, as the redesigned Cayenne is on the way. Buyers are likely holding off on purchasing the existing model while waiting for the new one. Porsche has released full pricing information for the Cayenne, and the figures look good.
The Cayenne also is better in a very important measure - looks. And despite getting a bit larger (but looking visually smaller), the Cayenne sheds 400 pounds in comparison to the previous model. Not only that though, the base model starts starts at $46,700, nearly $2,000 less.
Not many Cayennes will be sold in that configuration however - and with a 300 horsepower V-6, we can see why. The Cayenne S checks in at $63,700, while the top-shelf Cayenne Turbo will run you $104,800 - ouch.
Under the Turbo on on the price ladder is the Hybrid model, at $67,700. No doubt the 2011 model is the latest and greatest Cayenne. For some though, that isn't saying much.
