Pininfarina Rolls-Royce Hyperion For Sale
For $6 million you can join an super-exclusive club of just yourself in owning this custom one-off Pininfarina Rolls-Royce Hyperion. I think Rolls-Royce would be smart to take some cues from this car in it's next-generation of high-end models.

What a beauty! The Rolls-Royce Hyperion is a coachbuilt car built off the Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe. While being unmistakably Rolls-Royce, the Hyperion transforms the car from it's basis to be an entirely different take on the classic Rolls-Royce tradition.
Flowing and elegant; Hyperion clearly takes a different tack then the Phantom. There are more then aesthetic differences as well. The Hyperion does away with the Phantom's rear seats and moves the windshield back by 15 inches. That's a big undertaking and does much for the car in the way of drama; the rakish windshield is very cool.
It goes without sayingthat the customer was extremely well-heeled. Right from outset you have the high cost of the basis vehicle. Pininfarina is one of the world's most renowned design houses. Having them design you a one-off car with changes as significant as this is going to cost a lot of money.
So as much as this car's asking price is high, it most likely is less then the cost. There is no mention why it's being sold either, interestingly. It was only a year ago that the car was unveiled at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. The car comes with a one-off dash-docking wristwatch by Girard-Perregaux. The watch is based on the company's vintage 1945 Tourbillon.
Let's see how long it takes for this to sell. $6 million in this economy is a tough sell, even for such an amazing car as this.
