Paul Walker Could Return To The Fast And Furious Franchise

After a fitting tribute to the late Paul Walker at the end of Fast and Furious 7, it seems that we haven’t seen the last of the JDM-loving character after all. Talks between Vin Diesel and Walker’s brothers began earlier this year to try and reintroduce the Brian O’Connor character to the film series in a respectful manner that will serve as a further tribute to the popular actor.

Paul Walker Could Return To The Fast And Furious Franchise

The filming procedure will probably involve similar methods seen in the last film, with CGI and body doubles to step in for the deceased Walker. Both of his brothers - Cody and Caleb - will probably be used again to take Paul’s place, with the depth of the role yet to be confirmed. Speaking to ET, Caleb Walker said: “I had a phone call with Vin [Diesel] for about an hour and we really discussed this a while back. He wanted [our] blessing.”

With Fast and Furious 8 due to be released in cinemas in April 2017, it can be assumed that the ninth film in the franchise may feature the ex-cop character yet again.

How do you feel about this artificial return of Walker to the silver screen? Was Furious 7 the perfect goodbye to his character, or should he live on in the plots of future films? Comment below with your thoughts!

I’m a huge fan of the FnF franchise, really. Although the last 3 or 4 movies weren’t really about street racing anymore, I enjoyed them. But I think that they should have stopped at FnF 7. Not milk the franchise out for another three movies or god knows how much they are really planning…

They could just use his brothers for it. I mean they already look alike, just do some make up and stuff and he should look the same. It would save money on green and blue screens too.

Would be fine if the next film was like the original F&F films, but these latest F&F films weren’t worthy of paul walkers name

I think they shouldn’t have done new sequels since the Tokyo Drift. The last four films were too much mainstream action stuff and there HASN’T BEEN A SINGLE COOL TUNING CAR ever since 2005!

Just have him in for the beginning and kill him off to explain him being gone for the rest of the franchise

Or only have be there for alittle bit where he is talking to them over the phone or via confernce call to give advice or a favor, but he wont be with the team because he has his family now.

Thats dumb because we all know that it’s not truly him and it just wouldn’t be the same I think to reintroduce him after he is gone from one movie would be completely off the mark

This is not OK at all … Just end the franchise now …It seems that they are doing the 8th and probably 9th and 10th movie just for the money that they will probably generate … It’s sad to see another big franchise that I like becoming a money factory ( I’m talking about cod btw) … Why :/
