New Mopar Appearance Packages for 2010 Dodge Challenger
It's a new year, and that means there's new goodies available for Chrysler Corporation's 2010 Dodge Challenger, courtesy of their Mopar performance arm. Sadly, these are all appearance goodies, and no go fast parts. But that's OK, because the Dodge Challenger is plenty fast as it is.

On the outside there is a new exterior appearance package. For a mere $1,995 you can get a factory production option exterior kit that will let you get a unique body-color hood with scoop and a body-color rear "Go-Wing" spoiler – got to love the old nomenclature too: "Go-Wing", how sweet is that.
Also of the old school variety is the "strobe stripe performance graphics." This is something straight out of the late 60s early 70s. Of course, back then, you could pay for two thirds of a Challenger with the nearly two grand your dropping on today's appearance package, but hey, times change.
And on the inside the Dodge boys have a Mopar-branded T-handle shifter, very cool and retro. They also have on offer a "bright pedal kit", which also looks nice, but unfortunately is for automatic models only. OK, got to say it: Lame. Also on the brightwork end of things there are bright door-sill guards, always a nice touch.
Floor mats? But of course. How could a new line of stuff like this not include floor mats. In this case, we're talking premium carpet floor mats, whatever that might mean. Prices for the interior show off bits go for $945 for if your Challenger comes with an automatic transmission. If you have a manual gearbox version, that it will set you back $780. Of course there's a factory full vehicle cover you can get too.
Overall, I have to say I like the looks of all this stuff. I'm not that big of a fan of appearance only stuff, normally, but all of this kit is really in line with what Dodge is going for here, with the whole retro ride thing. Of course, I would stay with the flat black hood and scoop, just 'cause.
