More Goodies for 2010 BMW Z4 Roadster From Hartge
There seems to be more of a market for add-ons for BMW's Z4 sportscar in Europe than over here. Fair enough, there are always more goodies in the home market than in export markets, or so it seems.
There seems to be more of a market for add-ons for BMW's Z4 sportscar in Europe than over here. Fair enough, there are always more goodies in the home market than in export markets, or so it seems. And as far as doing aftermarket stuff for the Z4 is concerned, Hartge seems to put out more add-ons, trinkets and like than any one else.
Yes, this would be the brand new Z4 from BMW, the one with the slick folding hardtop (and really, are any of those folding hard tops NOT slick?). On the outside, Hartge has made a new front apron that covers the air inlets, which sort of seems counter productive, as far as cooling is concerned. The German tuning outfit also offers carbon fiber mirror caps, a discreet boot lid spoiler, a wind deflector, pin stripes and a four-piece exhaust system.
To which I can only say: Why not carbon fiber mirrors, just how discreet can a boot lid spoiler be, why do you need a wind deflector, but the pin stripes do look nice and I'm sure the four-piece exhaust system sounds great.
Hartge also offers some okay alloy wheels that are available in numerous designs in sizes 18- to 20-inches. They also make a suspension lowering kit. On the inside you can go with a set of aluminum pedals, and there's also a new instrument cluster available as well as specific floor mats. No, not the most inspiring of interior options, but give them time I suppose.
Ah, but what about performance mods for the engine, you ask? Sorry, nothing from Hartge at the moment, although sources say that mods of that nature will be available next year when the German tuning firm is expected to reveal its engine kit program.
