The Clubman wagon and Countryman crossover have helped to further expand appeal. he Coupe comes with a goal to further reach out style conscious customers.
The Coupe model was first previewed by a Concept, and the production model looks basically the same. Official wraps were taken off the MINI Coupe the other day.
Now, MINI isn't wasting any time in announcing pricing information for the Coupe model and the rest of the 2012 lineup.
The MINI Coupe starts at $22,000 for the base model, $25,300 for the Cooper S, and a steep $31,900 for the top-of-the-line John Cooper Works. That places it above the standard hardtop and Clubman models.
The Countryman remains the most expensive MINI model, starting at $22,350. The rest of the lineup gets up a $100 bump across the board, save for John Cooper Works hardtop and convertible models. Those trim levels add a new aerodynamics package.
It'll be interesting to see how sales for the Coupe fare. Given that the Coupe offers reduced practicality over the hardtop as well as a higher price tag, we can't see it being a huge volume seller for MINI.
